What exactly are you putting into your body?

Have you consciously thought about what you put in your body when you pick up a snack or pre-packaged or processed food item from the grocery store? I’m one of the founders at Bio Peak Nutrition who became obsessed with eating healthy and exercising in my 20s.

I must confess, in my teens, I consumed bologna sandwiches in white bread with processed cheese slices, all kinds of chips, chocolate bars and candy. I never realized how many unhealthy ingredients were in the foods and snacks I ate and what exactly I was putting into my body. It was not until I started doing research online and reading about how these unhealthy processed food products can lead to a whole slew of health problems- from high cholesterol, to obesity, to heart health issues and so much more.

In my 20s, I started eating healthier and working out 6, sometimes 7 days a week, and I always enjoyed the convenience of keeping a stash of protein and energy bars in my gym bag for a post-workout snack. However, every single protein and energy bar I bought were also filled with unhealthy ingredients such as shortening, trans-fat, palm oil, palm kernel oil, artificial flavours and colours and preservatives, all of which also have an adverse effect on health. I then asked myself- “what am I putting in my body? Are these really healthier than the junk I ate growing up”?

It is for this reason that our mission at Bio Peak Nutrition is to revolutionize the world of snacking by offering healthy snacks and eliminating any unnecessary and unhealthy ingredients in our high protein energy bites, vegan cookies and keto bombs. We use only 4 to 6 ingredients in all our products which contain ZERO preservatives, artificial flavours or colours or palm oil. We make sure that our products are made with real food.
